Senior Mobile Banking Software Engineer (Newark, CA)

Position Summary

MShift is looking for a dynamic and motivated Mobile Banking Software Engineer to join their Mobile Banking team to develop and deploy the next generation mobile banking solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for a spectrum of assignments from working on new products, system and product enhancements, and systems architecture to bug fixes.

Responsibilities

+ Develop end-to-end mobile banking applications including development on mobile phones, Web servers, Application Servers, Database Servers
+ Work with the MShift Mobile SDK to integrate new clients
+ Provide tight integration with Financial Institutions
+ Extend current mobile banking features and functionality
+ Work with Support, Marketing, and Sales personnel to define project requirements, and identify and diagnose issues

Required Skills

+ 3+ years in Software engineering
+ 3+ years experience in banking industry
+ 3+ years experience with MShift Mobile SDK
+ 3+ years of experience building and deploying software in secure Linux environments
+ 3+ years of experience with online banking protocols
+ Expert knowledge of banking security requirements
+ Expert knowledge of Internet over mobile phones
+ Expert knowledge of WML, HTML, Java, and security on mobile phones
+ Expert knowledge of Linux internals
+ Expert knowledge of configuring and deploying highly distributed and scalable Web software architectures

Client Support Engineer (Newark, CA)

Position Summary

MShift is looking for a Client Support Engineer to provide technical support and client services to our rapidly growing customer base. The key function of the individual is to provide quality support to the customer, which includes troubleshooting and liaising with various internal groups (Sales and Engineering). The Support Engineer will also be involved in the development testing and release processes.

Responsibilities

+ Provide excellent customer service to clients and end users
+ Service all client inquiries by phone, email, or internal trouble ticketing system
+ Investigate and help resolve client support issues
+ Ensure all issues documented via the trouble ticketing system
+ Test and release applications to the client
+ Provide support to sales and development team

Required Skills

+ 2-3 years of call center and customer service experience
+ Bachelors in Computer Science or 1-3 years technical experience in a related field
+ Focus on delivering high quality client support

Linux Systems Administrator (Newark, CA)

Position Summary

The successful candidate will be Linux Systems Administrator with strong TCP/IP and some experience with Mac OS X. This position requires a very clear and organized approach to managing our office and data center environments. The role is responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and support of a variety applications and services, and for ensuring server availability, security, and performance of the core networking and computing infrastructure.

Responsibilities

+ Respond to various help desk issues in a timely manner
+ Administer systems and network equipment in office and data center environments (Dell, Cisco, Juniper, switches, routers, firewalls)
+ Develop and refine monitoring (Cacti, Nagios, Alertsite) of systems, networks, security, applications, and databases
+ Document and systems, functions, and topologies
+ Identify areas in need of process, observe and improve existing processes
+ Research and evaluate new technologies to determine best practices while encoring compatibility with existing software and hardware
+ Provisioning and support of Apple MacBooks

Required Skills

+ 3-5 years of relevant IT Systems Administration experience
+ 3-5 years Linux (RHEL, CentOS)
+ 2-4 years Apache, Tomcat, MySQL
+ 2-4 years network services (NFS, DNS, DHCP, SSL, SSH)
+ 2 years data center experience
+ 1 year VMware ESXi
+ Understanding of TCP/IP network infrastructure, routing, troubleshooting, and security
+ Demonstrated proficiency with Linux system tools such as bash, awk, sed, regular expressions
+ Able to read, implement, troubleshoot at least one: perl, PHP, ruby, python, C, Java
+ Demonstrated proficiency with x86 hardware
+ Strong systems and security background, firewalls and VPN administration
+ Some knowledge of Cisco switches, routers, VPNs and firewalls
+ Experience deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting e-mail systems (Sendmail, Postfix)

+ Must speak and write English clearly and fluently
+ Scheduling flexibility based on company needs, and willingness to be on-call for off-hours support emergencies
+ Ability for occasional travel to collocation facilities around the US
